Parkour Girl

It's been a long time between posts ... he's the latest in my attempt at gender balance.

I've got a gallery happening on Deviant Art here.

Warhammer 40k

Following my project of painting images that impressed me as a wee youngster ... here's a Warhammer 40k peice. My main concerns were composition, atmosphere, and telling a story. The horizontal format was for a cinematic feel.

The image is really huge, and unfortunately the jpg just doesn't give an indication of the clarity. Here's a close up just to prove it ...

And finally a concept sketch (unfinished) that got me thinking about 40k ... 'Beat You Man'!

Here's an image showing the steps taken in creating the 40k painting...

Rogue

Here's a quick painting ... thinking about doing a series of images based off of the comic characters that I loved as a youngster. This is a study for one of 2000AD's Rogue Trooper ... this is just a test for a larger composition. Blue skin is just too cool :)

Here's the original pencil sketch ...

Franchise Tom-foolery

Another painting of Lauralai. I'd imagined a storybook of Lauralai's adventures with a robot butler called Phelix (who has a hard time keeping her out of trouble ... ). I'll draw him when I come up with a design that doesn't look like the Torus Robot :)
Lauralai is based on my 'partner' ... she has a brand of baby clothes we're trying to market, so perhaps it's all linked up in a strange way. Here's the logo designed for her label...

Holiday Project

Here's one done on my holiday break. Could the female have been more stylised?
(This one's quite a big download to keep the detail, so be prepared...)

And another... Lauralai...
